Any different between SanYuan DaGua 三元大卦 and XuanKong DaGua 玄空大卦? It is the same question pertaining to the different between YangGong Fa 杨公法 with SanHe Fa 三合法? They may look the same but in techniques they are far apart.

ABOUT SANYUAN...

XuanKong 玄空 is a subset of the larger school of SanYuan 三元. SanYuan is a school heavily annexed to the system of calendric sciences one being known as SanYuan QiMen DunJia 三元奇门遁甲. As time passes, the authentic art of SYQMDJ has been watered down. With the emergence of master liked Jiang DaHung notably bastardizing the work of grandmaster Yang YunSong as in DiLi BianZhen, XuanKong DaGua 玄空大卦 emerged to replace SanYuan DaGua 三元大卦.

The late Chen BeiSheng 陈倍生 of HongKong was the acclaimed master of XuanKong DaGua 玄空大卦 while the late Zheng ZiNan of Taiwan was the acclaimed master of SanYuan DaGua 三元大卦. Both are known to merge QiMen DunJia 奇门遁甲 and DaGua 大卦 simultaneously but yet they are so far apart. Ultimately what is so different between XuanKong and SanYuan?

At one level, SanYuan is able to merge with SanHe. SanHe has remained to be the fore runner of YangGong method. All FengShui methods come from Qing WuZi before GuoPu and subsequently Yang YunSong. There is only one method – YangGong method or probably known also as GanZhou method. Subsequently, splinter group forms and SanYuan school was born and probably known also as FuJian method. SanYuan school is developed upon SanHe theories and at certain level, it merges. They differ most likely as: -

  1. SanHe ride ShengQi from where Qi begins, SanYuan tap ShengQi from where Qi ends.
  2. SanHe arranges dragons based on the peak, while SanYuan arranges dragons based on the velleys.
  3. SanHe measures Qi from StemBranch while SanYuan measures Qi from the Hexagram.
  4. SanHe formations are pivoted upon the 4 frames while SanYuan formations are pivoted upon the 3 spirits.
  5. SanHe point of reference is the seating, SanYuan point of reference is the facing.
  6. SanHe take dragon as Yang, water as Yin while SanYuan takes dragon as Yin, water as Yang.
  7. The lists continue…

The similarities are: -
  1. Discerning YinYang is still the first layer in application.
  2. Both schools also discern the 2 YinYang to the 4 structures, 8 formations and 16 permutations.
  3. SanHe LuoPan comprises of Earth, Heaven and Human Plate but the SanYuan LuoPan also comprises of Earth and Heaven Plate with the lesser known Human Plate also called mid-Heaven Plate.
  4. Both schools employ the system of NaJia and NaYin – by the same token their YinYang are the same… surprise, surprise!
  5. SanHe emphasis on Dragon, Embrace, Spot and Water which are the same as SanYuan Dragon, Mountain, Facing and Water.
  6. SanHe uses Direct Five Elements while SanYuan uses HeTu elements.
  7. SanHe measures the horizontals and SanYuan measures the verticals.
  8. The lists continue…

What we see today, SanYuan comprises of: -
  1. BaZhai 八宅 or 8 mansions method with its subsidiaries such as DaYuNian, BaZhai MinJing 八宅明镜, YangZhai SanYao 阳宅三要 and HuangDi ZhaiJing 黃帝宅經 for internal applications
  2. QuanKun GuoBao 乾坤国宝 or LongMen BaDaJu 龙门八大局 meaning QianKun National Treasure and Dragon Gate 8 Formations are SanYuan method on Land Form FengShui.
  3. JiuXing ShuiFa 九星水法 or 9 Stars Water Method and AiXing Fa 挨星诀 or Leaning Star method with some called Purple White or ZiBai JiuGong Jue 紫白決 furthered watered down to ShenXue XuanKong FeiXing Fa 沈氏玄空學 or the popular known Flying Star method and the subsequent splinter of XuanKong LiuFa 玄空六法 or the Six Method.
  4. DaGua 大卦 or Huge Hexagram methodology with XianTian XuanKong DaGua QiMen DunJia 先天玄空大卦奇门遁甲 hybrids and the sort.

These are fragments of the complete system of SanYuan method systematically concealing the secret of YangGong FengShui. Even the distorted DiLi BianZhen has been cleverly crafted to conceal the application of the real SanYuan water method.

Picture
The SanYuan Core System

All SanYuan methods must conform to this arrangement. It is how SanYuan measures the Heaven. If one is not able to discern its core configurations, any application of SanYuan method will be futile and one is not able to merge SanYuan to SanHe. In fact, SanHe is so predominantly fundamental that only SanYuan is able to achieve miracles. There is wisdom in saying first class master looks for the stars, second class master look for the water mouth and third class master run around the mountains seeing nothing. It shows to say the fundamental of water mouth SanHe FengShui is still very valid before one able to discern the stars and the constellations. Sadly, such has been omitted in most modern schools of Chinese Metaphysics.

The SanYuan XKDG LuoPan

The LuoPan is an indispensable tool for the FengShui practitioners - This is a fact. However, how many of us actually goes beyond the 24 mountain plate?

In the SanHe LuoPan, there is a distinctive rings called the the Earth plate, the Heaven plate and the Human plate. The only common things between the SanHe and the SanYuan LuoPan is the Earth plate. What if in the SanYuan LuoPan there is also the Heaven and the Human plate? Does the SanYuan practitioners also do what is done by their SanHe counterparts?

To the XKDG addicts, any reason for a 22.5 degree shift of the DaGua rings from the Earth plate? Perhaps the conpendium of LuoPan needs some overhaul?

Picture
… After all the heavy weights, let us come back to FengShui 101.

There are a few good books in English explaining about LuoPan, including the Compendium. However, it never dwell deep into the origin of YinYang of the 24 mountain plate of the so called, SanYuan LuoPan. It only prescribed that 24 mountain is further categorized into Heaven, Man and Earth subsector or Yuan Dragon in the manner of Yin-Yang-Yang or Yang-Yin-Yin configurations. Thereafter… nothing mentioned.

To the ONE RING masters, especially from the Flying Star School, these Yin-Yang-Yang or Yang-Yang-Yin configurations are how the 9 stars “fly” forward or backward in the LoShu chart. Beyond that… nothing mentioned.

So, before one worries about 明师盘线, loosely translated as Great Master’s LuoPan Line, emmm… what say if one try to find out, why do of the so called, SanYuan LuoPan has the YinYang configuration such as this?

Picture
SANYUAN YINYANG DRAGONS

Apparently the compendium of LuoPan is incomplete without the explanation as to where does the YinYang of the 24 mountains of the SanYuan LuoPan originated. We take for granted that it is always there in that fashion. How the PurpleWhite stars fly are all depends on its YinYang. That is already inaccurate. The Chinese source has more details.

One common source is from the Shen's Classic stipulates that all the Yang stems are Heaven numbers for example, HeTu heavenly number 1 takes Ren water Qi and therefore Yang in nature. Earthly 6 takes Gui water Qi and therefore Yin by nature. By the same token, Yin stems are Earth numbers and assigned Yin nature.

Therefore, Jia Bing Geng Xin are all Heavenly Numbers Odd Yang in nature.
Yi Ding Xin Gui are all Earthly Numbers Even Yin in nature.

The same classic stipulates that all the Ordinal Trigrams namely Xun, Qian, Kun and Gen are all Yang in nature. The principle is annexed to the LoShu. Within the LoShu, there are HeTu. The ordinals take the following sequence:

Qian (6) and 1-6 HeTu water, 1+6=7, Odd number Yang nature.
Xun (4) and 9-4 HeTu metal, 9+4=13, Odd number Yang nature.
Kun (2) and 7-2 HeTu fire, 7+2=9, Odd number Yang nature.
Gen (8) and 3-8 HeTu wood, 3+8=11, Odd number Yang nature.

The branches are classify under the following groups:

The stable, Yin Si Shen Hai are the 4 beginning of every season. Their main Qi are respectively, Jia Bing Geng and Ren, the sub Qi are respectively Bing Geng Ren Jia with Wu in all the stables. These are all Yang stems. When each of the main Qi and sub Qi added up for each stables, it does not form combination of 10. Therefore they are Yang in nature.

The cardinals, Mao Wu You Zi are the middle of every season. Their main Qi are Yi Ding Xin and Gui respectively. All Yin stems. They forms combination of 10. Therefore they are Yin in nature.

The graveyards, Chen Wei Xu Chou are the end of every season. Their main Qi are either Wu or Ji earth. However their sub Qi are all Yin stems and therefore by virtue the graveyards are Yin in nature for its sub Qi are combination of 10 respectively.

Such is believed to have been the reasons behind the YinYang classification for the 24 mountain in the SanYuan Luopan. in reality, if you believe this is the true reason, your SanYuan applications are incomplete.

Fact, YinYang does not stem from pure numerical permutations. They are the reflections of Heaven Man and Earth. Knowing thus you will understand what a SanYuan LuoPan is designed to measure. Without a throughout understanding of such, all the other Hexagram plates are nothing more then pure decorations.

THE ASTRONOMY OF XKDG

Some articles that we have written have invited many feedbacks. One notable response is as the followings: -

“…Out of all systems of Chinese metaphysics that I have seen and tried so far, this XKDG is the one I am most convinced that it is nothing but a useless superstition, no substance at all in it. The system itself had too much of an artificial feel to me. And when it put it to some test on a few thousand data, I couldn't find even the slightest indication that there is any truth in it… Danny VdB”

There is very little written on this subject in the English medium. However, whatever that is written in the Chinese medium is ought to have been taken with a pinch of salt as these are only personal opinion of the writer. The only single source is from the original classic of this matter called DiLi BianZheng (DLBZ) or nicknamed, Earth Study Discern Truth of which of which Zeng YongXin has given an excellent rendition to it as a verbatim translation without commentary.

DLBZ is a compilation of commentaries of the 4 classics of FengShui literatures by the late Grandmaster Jiang DaHong (JDH) and his disciple. He is well known of the followings: -

1. Heaven Will shall not be disclosed, therefore he is lip tied.
2. Parted with 6 known disciples, each been endowed with a treasure from him such as, one was given his LuoPan, one with his written book, another with verbal instruction and so on so forth.
3. None of his disciple has a complete transmission of knowledge.
4. Among his disciples, Grandmaster Zang ZhongShan was claimed to have stood out to be the most accomplished XuanKong masters.

A close inspection on these, it may seem that: -

1. JDH will never disclose what he knew.
2. Even his LuoPan has no XKDG rings.
3. All that is said and practice as prescribed in books are “new” inventions with many unresolved “controversies”.

Does it mean to say that XKDG is just another hoax?

XKDG, liked many others is just a name. If one doesn’t like to call it XKDG, just call it by another name such as DiLi DaGua or alike. Likewise, XuanKong is only a subset of SanYuan. Search within SanYuan, one is able to distill out the significant of the SanYuan DiLi principles, which is surprisingly an extension of SanHe.

Perhaps, there is truth that the macro view of DaGua is in the principles of the Eight Mansions yet the roots are in the Astronomy. Why on earth are the QianKun does not belong to any of the 12 Zodiac palaces as shown in the above diagram?

Clue is given and Happy Hunting!
Oh my God!

Flying Star is at the bottom of the “food chain”!  Joke aside; let us contemplate a little…

During the Big Sister era, 8 Mansions was the known basic of the basic FengShui taught in kindergarten. In those days, it was the easiest  method. So simple that practitioners graduated to advice couples of different Gua to sleep separately. 8 Mansions were actually at the bottom of the “food chain”.

Not satisfied, they opted to primary level – Flying Star. Those days, Hoo-Ha of period 8 was as staggering as the Y2K. Some Chinese literati grandmasters started off very much earlier in the 70’s HongKong where huge classes were organized.

Period 8 passed by and NOTHING happened. So, FlyingStar must have been a flaw! They enrolled into LiuFa. Tan’s School is not the one and only. Read our FengShui history. LiuFa is still out of bound reserved to the elitist Daoist cult.

Then, some opted to do “A” level instead. Entry into University of FengShui takes up 2 routes, Pre-U Matriculation  - XKDG and “A” level - SanYuan LongMen BaJu LMBDJ. Surprising, it had never crossed their mind is that - XKDG is actually kindergarten stuff - the so called 8 Mansions!

What???

SanYuan is NOT XuanKong. XuanKong is only a very small subset, thus it is the most confused system among the arts of SanYuan. Cloaked in secrecy, a complete system must contain prediction, application and activation. Strangely, XuanKong that we knew of today, is almost a standalone system with different and conflicting fundamentals.

SanYuan is the continuation of SanHe. The most valuable part of SanYuan is in its application of water method.
On and off there will be mysterious standalone method in the market. While XieZi is almost forgotten, another emerged in the light of the revival of LianShan GuiChang Gua 连山归藏卦. Can we call it by another name such as SanYuan DaGua?

ABOUT SANHE...

A new English source on water method is now available, thanks to the painstaking effort of Master Hung HC. This book is by far, quite a complete genre of SanHe water method. Within it encompasses the 2 well known antagonistic camps of SanHe. One originated from the typical YangGong approach of 12 phases water method while the other the FanGua or Flipping Trigram, which was believed to have been in existence pre-dating YangGong himself.

Reading HHC’s lucid rendition of such heavy loaded classics with some strokes of humour, clearly justify the author’s ability in a self-confessed style of a YangGong convert.  This very book may even be a revival of interest in SanHe methodology.

It is whimsical to note that the ideation of GuTuo and CheYing, both monks, are illiterate and yet they are the masters of SanHe. It must be truly the work of hidden hands such as fairies with the collective of authors that we, today learnt about the Assitant Star Water Method and the 4 Major Water Mouths. Literati FengShui master like Zhao JiuFeng refined CheYing’s work further into a compendium of SanHe, called Earthly Principles 5 Verses. This classic laid the foundation for the Water Dragon method popularized by our modern writers liked Big Sister and a famous Grandmaster.

Yet no known author expanded on GuTuo’s work, leaving RuDiYan as the most “corrupted” classic with many later days addition with no citation whatsoever. Even HHC admitted that he has no idea where the sequence of the stars in the transformation comes about.

With the passing of the YangGong Old Method Grandmaster Li at the ripe age of 100, some secret techniques of the YangGong School may have lost. Yet, HHC believes that the essence is preserved within another SanHe method by Ye JiuShen, called whatsoever name water method, published almost the same time with CheYing’s book. Being whatsoever, HHC took the liberty to call it Early and Later Heaven water method but it has nothing to do with Dragon Gate 8 Formations or QianKun National Treasure water methods.

Ye JiuShen took a “rocket-science” of his days approach in deploying 4 major water mouths where the Later Heaven components are similar to CheYing’s approach but the Early Heaven components are mind-boggling. So archaic is this Early Heaven that later day author dropped it altogether and named it simply as Later Heaven Water Method.

It is a good read...

Picture
THE SANHE EARTH PLATE

The common SanHe approach in utilizing the 3 rings namely: -

1. Earth Ring – utilized to establish facing
2. Human Ring – utilized to evaluate embrace
3. Heaven Ring – utilized to evaluate water

Are rather incomplete or to a certain degree, inaccurate as in accordance to the 3 classics of YangGong.

The common understanding is to use the Earth Ring to establish sitting based on the concept of Pure Yin Pure Yang. This concept is commonly understood as “a Yang incoming dragon must match Yang water establishing a Yang Facing”. How to measure the Yang incoming dragon?

Landform wise, the classics say, “The Dragon has come a thousand miles, but look only at the EIGHT FEET arriving at the Head”. The term “feet” in Chinese is also means “ruler”. Here is where the common interpretations go so wrong, as in 8 feet means “distance of 8 feet”.

Assuming that the “distance of 8 feet” is correct, the 24 Earth Ring is used to determine its YinYang. The next obvious question is where does these YinYang originated? Beforehand, one must understand that there is such thing as the followings: -

1. The mutual relation between the opposite Trigram within the Early Heaven sequence. So for example, Qian and Kun mutually unobstructed Qi. Because Qian is Yang, therefore Kun is also Yang.
2. While Qian is Yang, Qian receives Jia, Kun receives Yi, so both Jia and Yi are also Yang. This is called the rule of NaJia (another mind boggling concept reserved for other discussion).

As a result, the Earth Ring has inconsistent YinYang Mountains, not because they are mistakenly assumed to be based on Pure Yin Pure Yang, but they are assigned based on the concepts of Early Heaven Gua and NaJia.

In application, a Qian incoming Dragon is Yang warranted to be matched with a Yang Facing. Subsequently, if one look at the Earth ring which is also called 24 Mountains Correct Needle because it follows the magnetic “North”, only the sitting Branch mountains match its facing Branch mountains in accordance to Pure Yin Pure Yang principle while the other stems and trigrams are mismatched. Contradictions arise when for apparently no concrete reasons, it is forbidden to actually use the sitting Branch mountains for fear that: -

1. Qi is overly strong.
2. Branch Facing would risk being afflicted by annual TaiSui, PoSui and SanSha.

With such, how do we achieve the concept of Pure Yin Pure Yang by means of “a Yang incoming dragon must match Yang water establishing a Yang Facing”? Furthermore, this very novel idea contradicts one of the most fundamental indisputable doctrine, how can pure Yang or pure Yin ever grow ShengQi? As for the validity of SanHe method based on pure Yin pure Yang, your guess is better then mine…

Picture
SANHE HEAVEN PLATE

Pure Yin Pure Yang continues…

Assuming that the sitting mountain is set against the incoming dragon, SanHe school people will establish facing to match outgoing water. SaHe concerns about outgoing water. By establishing facing, water is exiting correctly at the inauspicious sector based another approach called Later Heaven Water Formula and the remains are good Qi. Among the classics, only RuDiYan suggested that water shall exits at the auspicious sector instead.

Later Heaven Water Formula stipulates the use of Heaven Ring, whereby it is another set of 24 mountain rings offset by 7.5 degree, presumably measuring the True North, another invention by YangGong. It is called Heaven because it is used to evaluate water base on the two mountains approach, sometimes called double mountain or ShuangShan. Water is the gifts of Heaven. Only 12 pairs of mountain are in used. The same water formula also stipulates the doctrine of 12 growth phases, which we will not discuss here, to evaluate the 12 pairs of Double Mountain, classifying them auspicious or otherwise.

Conforming to Pure Yin Pure Yang, dragon matching sitting, facing matching water principles are derived from here. All those YiGua ChunQing or One Singular Pure Gua formations are also borrowed from here. Pure Gua here means, Pure Yin and Pure Yang. By the same token, a Yang Facing must match a Yang water exit or ingress and this call for the Heaven Plate to have its own YinYang. By the same token, it borrows from the Earth Ring’s YinYang, believing that such is in compliance to Pure Yin Pure Yang and this is where it has gone so very wrong!

By extension, Earth Principles 5 Verses stipulates YinYang flow will determine the manner in which 12 growth phases are assigned to the 12 double mountains thus rendered the YinYang of Heaven Plate not applicable. Thus the YinYang of Heaven plate refers to the Yin or Yang flow and not the YinYang double mountains. Onegrandmaster of GanZhou often uses this classic example to mock inexperience master who had attempted to design their own LuoPan. He advocated that Heaven Plate has no YinYang and this is also where it has gone so very wrong!

In summary the Two Mountains are in reference to the Heaven Plate. Together with the Earth Plate, it completes the SanHe LuoPan according to the orthodox YangGong School. By the same token, establishing sitting is based on magnetic north while establishing facing is based on true north. Some years ago, the similar question has raised heated arguments among “egg heads” resulted in this article, click HERE. Thus, Yang Facing matching Yang water,  the sacred Pure Yin Pure Yang is conformed. This is absolutely crap!

Picture
SANHE HUMAN PLATE

As Pure Yin Pure Yang is concerned, nothing is ever mentioned about embrace. Out of the 5 verses of Dragon, Embrace, Mountain, Spot and Water, only 3 items are of the concerns. If we assumed that RuDiYan is the forerunner of SanHe, way back before the Song Dynasty predated YangGong himself, something is very wrong when among the scripts, it mentioned that theuse of the 28 asterisms as in accordance to Urging Officer, ChuiGuan, the only classics that has survived from being adulterated because it really means nonsense consumed raw and credited to LaiBuYi who lives in the Song era. He is also the inventor of this so called Human Ring.

Known also as seam needle, apparently seaming the Heaven ring to the Earth ring, it is based on the Polaris north. This ring is used extensively to govern human behavior and opportunities thus it is used to evaluate embraces with response to the spot. Historically speaking it is also known as the outer Heaven Plate.

The LuoPan is also a tool to measure the Lateral. In this case, the fixed star of the 28 asterisms known as the lunar station is narrowed down to each singular degree representing each day. Regrouped as 60 expended and contraction dragons and be matched with another set of 24 mountains called outer Heaven Plate. Consistent with RuDiYan, this ring is annexed to theprinciple of “as above, so below”, an extension of Pure Yin Pure Yang. Naturally, below the asterisms, there is a set of corresponding mountains, resulted from the gravitational pull of these asterisms and the valleys are the rivers. 9 Stars school or JuiXing Pai’s flipping trigram methods or FanGua (where its offspring of 5 Ghost Carry Treasure)are born within this broad principle.

Must the Human Ring have YinYang? For completeness, the same Earth Ring YinYang is also applied to the Human Ring and that is where it has gone so very wrong. Objectively, Human Ring has no YinYang is also incomplete. Very little has been written about this Ring. Some go to an extend to market it as another FengShui secret as YuHanJing, apparently the only book which YangGong took from the imperial library via escaping later to be handed down to his grandchildren and now inherited by another GanZhou lineage called the Lineage of YangJiuPing for a very expansive fee. YangGong being a monk has offspring is a fact needed validation. Even so, none of his other works referred to this very ring. So, again, your guess is better than mine.

The entire collections of this article called The SanHe “Lord of The Rings are in fact, contents of some very expansive FengShui life courses. The beauty of it is it can be summarized in 3 A4 pages with font 12 now available for Free. Yet, in reality, it can be applied and it is SanHe but not the true method. Knowing this, one will understand what are taught in the west under the pretext of water methods. In reality it is just purely academic. One way to find out its authenticity is to check the so called “inherited” LuoPan. If it is not marked and corrected accordingly, it is as good as some old antics. One GanZhou grandmaster has a point, when he said, “LuoPan post Qing Dynasty are all rubbish”.

A gentleman poured over his query as the followings: -

“…While trying to compare these two methods one may face the contradictions. In BaLu HuangQuan methodology it is said that it is disastrous to have for instance outgoing water at DING or GENG while facing KUN, in the same time the FuXing ShuiFa appoints Po Jun Star at DING while facing KUN and it is said that outgoing water in this case is auspicious. How would you explain this…”

I presumed this is a problem when the formula is taught in piecemeal. Upon looking into the query itself, 2 methods stem out. Firstly we had the so-called eight roads of destruction (8RD) (Ba Lu Huang Quan), an offset of the principle SanHe Four Major Water Mouths. Lastly, the Assistant Star Water Method (ASWM) (Fu Xing Shui Fa), that stem out from the Assigning the Dragon (Water) based on Gua Transformation coupled with the 3 Auspicious, 6 Elegances (3A6E) are the basis of as above, so below principle, of assigning the 24 heavenly star unto the 24 mountains. These are 2 entirely different method from 2 entirely different school of taught within the SanHe fraternity.

The Old School, Grand Master Yang Jun Song, also called YangGong Gu Fa, propagated the Four Major Water Mouth (4MW) techniques as a complete system based on the solar inclination affecting the movements of earth and water ways. This is the basis that the Earth Ring and the Heaven Ring were included in deploying such methodology. Later variation and simplification on this method into 8RD, proven to be a fallacy.

For instance, facing Kun with outgoing water mouth at Ding and Geng. A wood frame structure with Birth at Qian, Prosperous at Jia and Grave at Ding. Taking reverse, we had facing Kun as facing Death. A violation of 4MW. However, if outgoing water mouth at Kun (Repose), with facing at Ding (Death) or Geng (weakening), one will notice that Facing Geng with water exiting at Kun does not violate the 4MW. Such reverse engineering proves that the 8RD deemed to have been a fallacy.

The New School, Ge Fa, Grand Master Lai Bu Yi, also called YangGong Xin Fa, propagated that the asterism has a great influence to the land formation and watercourses. This became the basis of as above the sky, so below the landforms are the manifestation of the stars. An additional ring called the Human Ring was in paced to measure the embrace. Saying thus, the assignment to stellar constellations were grouped into star streams and assigned to the 24 mountains based on these streams of star. Notably the terms 3 auspicious were born, coupled with the related Najia, thus derived the 6 elegances. With this concept, encapsulated unto the Gua transformation, there derived what is known as the (minor) wandering 8 Tri-grams, or Di Mu Fan Gua Jiu Xing Fa, used to measure stars within the embrace or Ge Long Fa. A complementary system employing the same concepts were deployed for water method that start from the assistant star and was called Assistant Star Water Method.

No doubt, some claimed that the new school has its fallacy, for example, we know that the universe is ever expending and the positions of these stars are not static. Therefore, the theoretical framework based on as above, so below does not hold the test of time and probably it is a forced method deploy by Bazi expert to measure the earth.

Coming back to the query and let say, sitting Gen and facing Kun with water outgoing in Ding and Geng. In Najia, Dui received Ding and Zhen received Geng, Dui is Por Jun and Geng is Lien Zheng. Water outgoing at these positions are considered auspicious.

On this basis, we note that there is a contradiction between the findings using 4MW and ASWM, both SanHe methodologies, for reasons that the basic principles are indeed different. Choosing between the 2 methods, I may only recommend the use of 4MW to establish a spot in relative to ASWM to gauge the general auspiciousness of the entire site in question.
