Sean Tan Tian Ting is just a boy from Malaysia, Kedah that likes music and arts. Drawing and sketching is my greatest hobby. I started drawing stories of comic book since I was young, and I like what I was doing as many of my friend are encouraging me and reading the comic book I drew. When I reach adolescence, I discovered rock music and electronic music such as dubstep, nu-disco, techno etc. I start immersed to it and eventually start learning those type of music genre. I been joining and create some music bands through out my secondary school life, we have been performing in some places such as Kedah and Penang, I like the way we do and feel grateful to be working together as one. I also made some music of my own and designing the cover of the music album, soon I discovered that I have the potential and passion in designing stuff. I love designing, drawing and music and this driven me to becomes a person that loves creating and being creative at the same time. in the future I would like to produce something that can contribute to the society.

I am just a ‘budak’ Kedah that come from Kedah all the way to KL just to learn architecture. I was first alone but later knew a lot of friends from here. They taught me a lot of things in life and soon i realise I have a lot of things to learn. Learning is just a normal thing to do in life’s, we must not stop learning as there’s a lot of knowledge to be gain. I would like to say I am a person that likes learning and through learning I can understand what to be improve on next and be better next time.
Recently I am going online on my coordinator, David Yek website and I found that he had a diploma in Feng Shui and I would like to learn from my coordinator what can Feng Shui can applied to an architecture and what does can it do to architecture. |

I'm here because I have a vision, we are all united as we have the same vision in mind. Studying architecture was not easy and it took us a lot of effort in learning and working at the same time. We should work together, so that we won't be alone anymore and will have better emotions and feelings. The better the emotions, the better the health and the furthest we can go. This can lead to better arts creation as there is passion in it. I think in a team what’s makes them so important was cooperation and understanding about each other. Creating a better work requires teamwork and collaboration. I believe that something special can be created when creative minds get together as one.

What is architecture? What is the meaning of it? There is a lot of meaning of it, as it can be both an art and a science. In my opinion architecture its not a science nor an art it’s just somewhere in between and it same goes to right and wrong in architecture. A better architecture design is something that has a greater MEANING in it. I like to design base on what’s people needs and really enjoy when people love it. I think love is something important between each human being because love can get people around and make the society a better place to lives. So, when comes to my architecture design I would like to focus on creating a greater communication space. I think in a house a most important space that a house should has was a living space where everyone can get around together as one.
Talking about ego, I will have to admit that I am a person that scare to lose and always think that I could do better than others. I know this attitude was not right and it is causing me a lot a problem eventually stresses out. This would be the bad part of me when comes to working. I think everyone should speaking out the truth, so we will be able to face whatever it comes. They can be important than anything if they carry the truth. |

In current assignment in d:CON 4, we must read a novel of ‘No Dram of Mercy’ by Sybil Kathigasu. This is a novel about story of a woman's courage, told simple and unassumingly in her own words during the second world war while the occupation of Japanese in Malaya. By reading it, we must understand the novel and create a craft work that has related to it.
Sybil Kathigasu and is our World War II heroine, this evidence can be seen when she treated and provided the guerrilla forces with medical treatment and supplies as well as information to the resistance forces during the Japanese Occupation of Malaya. She keeps this as a secret from the Japs. Even though, Sybil was caught by the Japanese soldier and been Tortured mercilessly, she will never ever be breaking the news. In this craft work I will be creating a craft that consisting the behaviours and feeling of Sybil Kathigasu during the time. Throughout the story we will be seeing the quality of Sybil, such as bravery, kind, smart, love and belief to god. |
