We embarked Sixth Form Center as a total revamp of an existing structure, built just for the purpose of storage, to be transformed into a proper place for Sixth Former to mingle, group discussion and study complete with multi-media facilities. It comprises of the open space or lounge serviced by a kitchenette that could doubled up as a cafe in a near future, a private observation room, 2 large restrooms capable to be utilized during sport days with storage beneath the staircases. The lounge is open up to the outside by means of collapsible glazing, once opened, muted the interior with the exterior allowing activities to overflow to the courts outsides. It also designed to doubled up as a sport day observation center.
The upper level is accessible from both staircases leading to an upper deck lounge surrounded by balcony overlooking the large vistas of hills and open space far and wide. The green 360 views are welcoming fusing the internal with the external, especially so overlooking the courts. With a complete retractable folding doors, cross ventilation is assured. Servicing the lounge will be 2 private rooms for the admin staff. The balcony is protected from the elements by a horizontal flat roof both acting as an architectural element to enhance horizontal features and to create a light reflecting features to bounce off light emitting from the internal to the exterior.
The overall design slanted to Contemporary Tropical with a dash of modernist minimalist of glass box splayed by horizontal planes overhang creating subtle depths, shadow relieves, multi-layers of spaces and beefed up with vertical planting as a gesture of green.
